The Twelfth Division (Philippine Division Patch was worn from 7 June 1922 to 15 April 1947.
Organized on June 1921 for the security of the Phillipine Islands, the 12th Division was composed of American and Phillipine scout units. The 12th Division was decimated duing the defense of Bataan and forced to surrender. The head of the water buffalo symbolizes the Philippines. The colors red and gold represent the islands' roots as a Spanish colony.
