Alaskan Defense Regulation Military Patch
Product Description
Worn: 5 March 1943 - Current.
The insignia represents the constellation Ursa Major (the Great Bear), which, according to ancient myth, is the guardian of the North Star (Polaris). The golden yellow star represents the North Star. The design was originally approved for the Alaskan Defense Command in 1943 and redesignated in 1949 for the Headquarters, United States Army Alaska.
Our Alaskan Defense patch is a regulation, full color, embroidered military patch. This is the same patch that is supplied to the U.S. Army, Army National Guard, Army Reserve units, and sold in the Army Post Exchanges. This patch would be a great gift idea and a wonderful addition to your patch collection.
