Product Description
The wings suggest flight and reflect the skills associated with aerial flight. The shield of the coat of arms of the United States signifies loyalty and devotion to duty. The star above the shield shows the level of qualification.
An aviator, who is medically qualified and instrument qualified may apply for the Senior Aviator Badge as long as the aviator has served seven years of rated aviation service, served 84 months in operational flying duty assignments and accumulated 1,000 hours of flight time.
Our Army Senior Aviator Wings are oxidized silver, 3/4 inch in height and 2 1/2 inches in width, consisting of the shield of the coat of arms of the United States on and over a pair of displayed wings with a star above the shield. This is the same badge that is supplied to the U.S. Army and sold in the Army Post Exchanges.
