Product Description
The Diving Badge is a military qualification badge of the United States armed forces which is awarded to those service members who have obtained qualifications as military divers. The Diving Badge was originally a patch which was worn by Navy divers on the upper left sleeve of a service uniform. The Diving Patch was first created during the Second World War and became a breast badge in the late 1960s.
The diver’s helmet is the basic equipment and the letter “S” is superimposed on the design to reflect salvage activities such as harbor clearance, rock and concrete blasting, steel and timber removal and the removal of propellers for replacement.
Our Regulation Full Size Diver Salvage Badge is an oxidized silver plated metal badge. This is the same badge that is supplied to the U.S. Military and sold in Military Base Exchanges.
