The MARS Task Force was another name of the 5332nd Brigade. After Merrill's Marauders was consolidated to the 475th Infantry, they became part of the MARS task force along with the 124th Calvary and a U.S. trained and equipped Chinese regiment. The group was assigned to the Northern Combat Area Command in China, Burma, and India from 1944 to 1945.
